National language of Pakistan — spoken by a large resident community across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the wider Gulf

Urdu translation at our Dubai office is driven almost entirely by the large Pakistani resident community across the UAE and the Gulf — employment contracts, Emirates ID-linked personal documents, marriage certificates, and powers of attorney sent back to family in Pakistan are the most common requests. Urdu uses a Perso-Arabic script and is written right-to-left, but it is a distinct Indo-Aryan language with its own grammar, closely related to Hindi in spoken form but written in a completely different script — an Urdu document cannot simply be relabeled as Hindi or vice versa.

Certification note

UAE labor and residency authorities generally require Urdu personal documents translated into Arabic or English with an MOJ-certified stamp, not a plain translation.
