Certified Translation for the Canada Embassy
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) requires certified translation of documents not in English or French for all immigration and visa applications. IRCC specifies that translations must be accompanied by an affidavit from the translator (or a notarized statement) swearing that the translation is a true and accurate representation of the original document — this makes the translation effectively a sworn translation for Canadian purposes. The translator must not be the applicant or a family member. Common documents requiring certified translation for Canadian immigration include birth certificates, marriage and divorce certificates, police clearance certificates, educational credentials, and foreign judgments. TransHome provides notarized certified translation in the format accepted by IRCC and Canadian embassies globally.
